I have a question about black women?

I don't think this is really a race problem at all. Sounds to me that she has allowed herself to adopt what they call a "victim" personna, following all the abuse she has suffered at the hands of this guy. This is a real shame but I don't think you will be able to do anything about it. Sounds like the abuse has gone on for a long time and she has lost self respect. If she had that self respect she would have done away with him many years ago. She needs counselling and intervention but I have the feeling that nothing will change for her. Often having a child is a wake up call to a woman to get away from an abuser, but it appears this has not happened so it doesn't sound like there is much hope. She just doesn't sound strong enough. Probably not what you want to hear but you may find some answers if you get in touch with a women's abuse shelter and they could post you some information about this. May help you understand why she is the way she is, but any change has to come from her and not you. I am white but I don't think that has anything to do with it at all; abuse of women exists in all races and cultures. Good luck - I think you will need this.
