Parents of circumcised sons, what would you do if you're son(s) resented being circumcised?

my son was born with a uti, so I had the procedure done because the doctors said it would help him get better and stay well. I would tell my son that it was done because he was ill and it was going to help him, and sorry, but there's no undoing it. I doubt he will care.
